My “Twilight” 30th Birthday Party!

On Saturday, September 26th, under a near constant cover of clouds and rain, My Hubby and I drove to my 30th birthday party in Forks a rural area outside of Raleigh. The day had been breezy, and quite chilly, with a fine mist of rain continuously showering over us.. so I felt right at ease preparing for my "Twilight" party.

Upon my arrival, I immediately notice a sign on the door that says "The City of Forks, WA Welcomes you." And, with that, all was right in the world. *I started to chuckle*

After entering  I could tell that some of the guests were already there (we were late). I looked around to see who was there, who was who, and do my greetings as any guest would do.. and then, Whoa! I noticed the hostess-with-the-mostess' decorations! She did a phenomenal job! Everything just fit, and looked beautiful! (btw: I helped influence her to read the Twilight books and was with her when she FIRST saw Twilight. She's now hooked!)

Edible Art?

"We're Having Italiano For You"

We had baked Ziti, To-Die-For Meatballs, and mozzarella/tomato appetizers. Soooo good!

"Thirsty?" - Pinot Grigio & Merlot for the vamps guests.

I felt it wouldn't be ethical if I didn't dryhump & molest cardboard Rob. A little pinching of the Robnips never hurt either..

My birthday cake (area) was set up to resemble "Bella's Birthday" in New Moon. I felt like it was more like a reenactment! It looked GREAT! Oh yeah, the cake... Delizioso!

Once we got to the presents, I would have never have thought this would happen.. One of my guests had bought me a really, really nice lunch bag that if you didn't know it, you would think it was a purse! She bought it from one of her favorite boutiques and was happy that I really, truly loved it!

And, then.. subsequently after opening this gift, I move on to another one..

I proceed to open the gift bag under the tissue paper, and voila.. there it was! The Twilight "Edward" Metal Tin Lunchbox complete w/Thermos! I almost died. I couldn't really contain my excitement, so my friend with the first lunch bag said "Way to outdo me!" I could not stop laughing.

You see the smile on my face?!

To be clear, I will more than likely keep the Edward lunchbox at home, free of outside interferences and dirt. I wouldn't want my Edward to get dirty. I will stare at him everyday. He already has a prominent spot in my kitchen. I will use the first lunchbag and I will wear/use it proudly, so my friend doesn't feel "outdone." LOL

Thank you everyone for the lovely gifts and cards! I truly love you all!

PS. Kelli had the burning desire for a little groping!

To my best friend, Danielle: Thank YOU so much for the party! Twilight or not, you would have still done a GREAT job, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Knowing how much I'm obsessed, crazed, and completely mindblown in to the Twilight Saga, maybe a little more (OK, a LOT!) than ALL of you, I really appreciate you putting this together for me! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

She's JUST as crazy as I am!

And, last but not certainly NOT least, thank you to my wonderful husband for putting up with my Twilight fascination! He was such a trooper at this party, I tell ya! He was one of only 3 guys! I love you dearly!

I think he was maybe enjoying the party a little TOO much here? LOL

And, just when I thought I couldn't have any more fun, or possibly laugh any harder... my hubby astounds me!

He had to molest Rob's manjunk! I don't kid.. see for yourselves...

No matter how OLD I get, I will ALWAYS want Rob at my birthday party!

*thanks Rob for being there, even in cardboard form!*

This was a party I will not soon forget.  Thank you.

xoxo ~ April
